Forward Festival

Turn Ideas Into Action

In collaboration with audio studio Echoic, we created the title sequence for Forward Festival 2025, which premiered in Berlin. In the weeks leading up to the event, we created a series of teaser films to build suspense and anticipation. By withholding the full reveal, we turned the unveiling into a shared, high-impact moment, rewarding festival-goers with a unique experience.

Our concept celebrates the blank page, a space both daunting and full of potential. For every creator, it’s the point where transformation begins. The opening unfolds in deliberate slow motion, drawing out a sense of tension between sets of objects, charged with both attraction and antagonism. The sequence is a journey that embraces uncertainty, trusts instinct, and lets each spark ignite the next, hinting at the next transformation still to come.

Guided by Forward’s motto, ‘Turn Ideas Into Action’, we set out to show that ideas alone are dormant energy, with momentum only coming from movement. As the film evolves, that potential bursts into motion with speed, energy, and unpredictability taking over. Ideas collide and spark, triggering chain reactions that grow into something entirely new, dynamic, and unstoppable.

This was a truly blank page project for us. We pushed, tested, and challenged our own ideas throughout the R&D phase. Every scene called for sharp, instinctive decisions, anchored by process. In the end, the making of the sequence echoed its own message: trust the process, embrace the unknown, and turn possibility into reality.

When the sequence premiered in Berlin, what began as a blank page transformed into a collective experience. These moments on stage captured the essence of Forward Festival, setting the tone for the days ahead, sparking ideas, and showing action taking shape in real time.
