Data transfer made engaging and clear
Elevating IBM Research’s presence in the generative AI sector meant translating its new optics technology from an abstract concept into a tangible, high-impact experience. Working alongside industrial designers Map Project Office, our challenge was to make the unprecedented bandwidth and energy efficiency of this hardware accessible. We framed this transformation around the physical journey of data through light to bring this innovation to life for enterprise audiences.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSETS Crafting every component to the highest level
CINEMATIC STORYTELLING Epic-scale camerawork to highlight complex hardware
Our films use light simulations to show the detailed architecture of the polymer waveguide. Macro camerawork and material visuals explain the chip’s construction and inner reflections. Animated components demonstrate fast, controlled data movement.
DATA AS LIGHT Abstractions of optical speed and direction
This unique approach attracts enterprise audiences and makes complex AI hardware easier to understand. By transforming sophisticated optical engineering into an ownable visual language, the content becomes an important asset for communicating and elevating IBM’s technology breakthroughs.
