‘Mondegreen’ – Animated Short
A strange world of wordplay

A ‘mondegreen’ is defined as ‘a misunderstood or misinterpreted word or phrase resulting from mishearing’.

Our eponymous film is set in a surreal museum of mishearing, featuring a series of kinetic sculptures that each represent a different word that sounds like ‘Found’.

Mondegreen is part of an ongoing series of research and development projects we’re undertaking, to keep pushing ourselves technically and creatively.

“Sparse and chilling, the plasticine-like structures in Mondegreen
cause the viewer to draw in a sharp breath at the sight
of towering and sometimes moving installations.”

Diana Shi, Creators Project

“Wandering through a museum of trussed-up limbs, giant conches
and rapidly rising water, this mesmerising CG short feels like
an abstract nightmare on first viewing - but look again,
there’s a method to the madness.”
